Our studios are closed during this RMO time so here’s something from the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival last year. We sat down with poet Lemn Sissay after his festival session over tosei and mango lassi and chatted about poetry, his memoir My Name is Why then meandered into festival talk, being an ‘othered’ in your own country and what he’s reading at the moment.
The sound is a little dicey because it was in a busy restaurant at the end of day, so bear with us. We’ve punctuated this conversation with his poetry and some excerpts from his session. For the full session (and it’s a really good session) please go to the UWRF website under podcasts.
